Help with food in Crawley

Crawley Open House and the Easter Team are working together as the Crawley Food Bank Partnership for anyone who needs help with getting enough food over the winter. Call 01293 447702 for Crawley Open House or 07940 900948 for the Easter Team. You can also contact them online.

The closest pharmacy to Woodlands Surgery is Kamsons on Tilgate Parade, and the closest to Clerklands is Park Parade Pharmacy. You can use the tool below to search for other local pharmacies and check their opening hours. 

Keeping Warm

Keeping warm over the winter months can help to prevent colds, flu and more serious health problems such as heart attacks, strokes, pneumonia and depression. If you can, you should heat the rooms you use regularly at home to at least 18°C.

There are grants, benefits and advice available to make your home more energy efficient, improve your heating or help with bills. You can find advice online at www.helpfourhouseholds.campaign.gov.uk or you can call the Government helpline on 0800 444 202.

The Citizens Advice Bureau can also provide help and advice. In Crawley, you can call 0808 278 7969 or visit their website. You can also drop in to their office in Southgate at The Orchard, 1-2 Gleneagles Court, Brighton Road, RH10 6AD. In Horley, the number to call is 0808 278 7945, or visit the Reigate & Banstead website. The closest office is in Redhill, on 72 Station Road, RH1 1PN, open Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10:00 – 14:00.

Crawley Warm Spaces

Crawley Borough Council has a list of community spaces which provide a warm and comfortable space for residents who can’t afford to heat their home. The closest to Woodlands Surgery is Holy Trinity Church, just down the road on Titmus Drive. In the town centre, Crawley Library is open every day except Sunday.

Horley Warm Spaces

Surrey County Council has a list of warm welcome venues for residents who can’t afford to heat their home. In Horley, the Community Centre on Albert Road is open weekdays, and Horley Library is open Tuesday to Saturday.
