Extended Practice Hours

Woodlands Surgery has late evening appointments available on a Thursday 18:30–19:30 with either a doctor or a nurse.

Clerklands Surgery has early morning appointments  available on Tuesdays and Fridays 07:00 – 08:00 with either a doctor or a nurse.

We also have additional appointments available on some Saturdays.

Finally, we have some telephone GP appointments available on Friday evenings provided by Alliance for Better Care, the local GP federation. You will be asked for your consent to share your records with ABC when your appointment is booked, and you will also be asked again by the doctor before your consultation begins.

When We Are Closed

If you require medical support or advice outside of our normal working hours of Monday-Friday 8:00am to 6:30pm, or on a Bank Holiday, then please call NHS 111. Calls are free from both landlines and mobile phones. You can access 111 online at www.111.nhs.uk.

You can also contact us online between 4:30pm and 8:30pm on weekdays and we will respond within two working days.

As qualified healthcare professionals, they can offer clinical advice and over-the-counter medicines for a range of minor illnesses, such as coughs, colds, sore throats, tummy trouble and aches and pains.

Open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, the UCC handles a wide range of injuries and conditions from sprains and strains, broken bones, minor burns and scalds to minor head and eye injuries, bites and stings. It can also deal with most moderate illnesses such as infections if you cannot get to see your GP.

For more serious conditions such as an accident or emergency, please attend East Surrey Hospital at Redhill.

NHS 111 Online

111 online is a fast and convenient alternative to the 111 phone service and provides an option for people who want to access 111 digitally. 

Your needs will be assessed and you will be given advice about whether you need to:

  • Treat yourself at home
  • Go to a Primary Care Centre

If you need face to face medical attention you may be asked to attend a Primary Care Centre.
