Non-urgent advice: About the event
Are you worried about your memory? We used to think losing your memory was a normal part of ageing, but now we know that dementia is a disease we can treat. We also know it's possible to live well with dementia, and there is support available.
In the South Asian community, sometimes it may seem difficult or unusual to come to the doctor about getting older. But if you are worried about your memory, we can help put you in touch with the South Asian Community Network, to find the support of others in your community.
On Saturday 13th January, Parveen Khan from West Sussex Carers Support and Tim Wilkins from the Alzheimer's Society will be joining us at Woodlands Surgery to chat with anyone who is worried about losing their memory, or anyone with a family member who they might be worried about.
Drop in any time between 10am and 12pm for a chat and a cup of tea. We'll also have one of our friendly Healthcare Assistants on hand to do some quick memory tests if anyone wants to have theirs checked.
