Important message to all Woodlands & Clerkands Patients

The Government and NHS are well prepared to deal with this virus, but there are things you can also do to help stop germs like coronavirus spreading:

  • Stay at home, following Government guidance.
  • Always carry tissues with you and use them to catch your cough or sneeze. Then bin the tissue, and wash your hands, or use a sanitiser gel.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after using public transport. Use a sanitiser gel if soap and water are not available.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are unwell.

Anyone with a new continuous cough OR fever (over 37.8) must self-isolate for 7 days, whether you have travelled or not. This includes children. Stay at home and self-medicate if needed with paracetamol. If you are well, you do not need to ring 111 or be tested, but please visit the NHS Coronavirus website for guidance. If your symptoms worsen and you feel your breathing is deteriorating, or if at the end of 7 days your symptoms have not abated, go to 111 online for advice and DO NOT come to the surgery. If you do not have access to the internet or do not find the information you need, then use the NHS 111 phone line.

About our practice

The Woodlands/Clerklands Partnership is a practice of seven partners - two female and five male - working as a general partnership. The practice operates from two surgeries: Tilgate Way in Crawley and Vicarage Lane in Horley. The partnership cares for around 16,000 patients.

We also employ a GP trainer. Both our surgeries have been approved for flexible career, retainer doctors, GP training and medical student training. Occasionally, district nurses in training, student nurses and community midwives may also spend time with the practice.
