In light of the recent Prime Minister’s announcement this week, we have been working on a plan to ensure we can offer all our patients eligible for a booster an appointment before the 31st December.
We have started communicating with our patients via text messages on how they can book their booster appointment or move their appointment forward to an earlier date.
Please do not call the surgery. Instead, please wait for a text message or letter inviting you to book or change your appointment date.
We would ask all our patients to be aware that during the next few weeks, until 31st December, we will be reducing our Nurse & Healthcare Assistant appointments in the afternoons in order to provide COVID Vaccination Clinics.
This does mean that some non-urgent appointments may need to be re-scheduled for the New Year.
We will be contacting you if you are affected by this.
If you do not hear from us, then your appointment will continue as normal.
Our GP appointments will also be reduced in the afternoons in order to support the COVID Vaccination Clinics.
We therefore ask that during this time only contact us for urgent medical needs and refrain from visiting Woodlands Surgery reception after 1pm unless you have an appointment. Our patients can access free GP video appointments via the LIVI app, available on the App Store and Google Play Store.
We want to assure you we are still open and accessible for all our patients urgent medical needs so do not delay in contacting us for these.
Finally, we would ask that our patients be mindful that at the current time, all our staff are under extreme pressure and working considerable hours to support the vaccination programme.
This includes all our administration and reception staff, so please be patient with us.
We continue to want to deliver the best service possible under challenging circumstances and have the health of all our patients at heart.
